Shuttle Discovery Blasts Into Orbit

Today, I would like to write a topic of the US.

I can hardly see American around my working place.
There are many European people yet.
Generally, in scientific fields, current research in the US is superior to other countries.
Therefore, few American might take the trouble to come and study in UK.

Well, I was wondering what was going on Space shuttle.
In such a case, Matt, research assistant of the same group with me, always says as follows.

“To the internet!”

That’s why I visited BBC web site.
I got….it…..?
At first, a word I saw was “b l a s t”.
The word “blast” means “explosion”, doesn’t it !?
I was very nervous to this word after terror in London.
When I read it again carefully, I realized it said “blast off”, means “launch”.
What a relief!

Now I am watching NASA TV through YAHOO! USA web site.
We can see a communication between NASA and Discovery.
Occasionally, we can also hear that an operator calls “Soichi”.

Anyway, America is a great country, I think.
Soon after they completed “Deep Inpact Mission” successfully…
My friend in Japan introduced me a story that they might have already developed an antigravity device.
Have they?

Paying my respect to the US, I inserted this picture.
